Spring at Ecco

What's new? That's what everyone is asking as they walk through our doors.

In Vermont, it is easy to get bogged down in our practical day to day uniform of boots, jeans and sweaters, so at the very first hint of Spring (even in the midst of a surprise blizzard) we are ready to jump on board the new trends!

So here is a taste of what we are looking at this Spring...

Of course, the trouser and wide leg jean that we are obsessed with:

And we just got in the Ginger, high waisted wide leg, and the Dojo, trouser leg,  from 7 for All Mankind!

For a little edge, we are loving the biker inspired, studded trends.

And we can't resist a chunky high heel or platform...especially with studs or animal print...

Just a few of our obsessions...a little food for thought as you plot your Spring wardrobe...

How do you define great style? Who do you try to channel when you're getting dressed?  What are you wearing when you feel your most stylish or sexy?

At Ecco our style runs the gammet and our icons vary as well, although somehow we all end up dressing with some similarity...not sure how that happens...

A welcome flashback to the 70's, the light denim high-waisted wide leg jean that will be everywhere this Spring, shown here on the impeccably fashionable Morgan Wendelborn.

Pair it with a high heel, preferably a clog, and cute accesories like Eva Mendes.

Or keep it casual like Kate Moss in this vintage pair.

With trousers, wide legs, and flares on order from 7 For All Mankind, Citizens of Humanity, DL 1961 and more, we're looking forward to a departure from our current uniform of dark skinny jeans, boots, and sweaters. But we'll keep rocking this look for a few months, especially with more snow in the forecast!

We are in the midst of it! Finally, the snow that has pummeled the rest of the East Coast has crept up to Vermont and we are buried in it...So while our dear customers are busy shovelling themselves out, sledding, skidding around on the slippery roads, or swooshing down the slopes, we have plenty of time to think about Ecco and what makes us Ecco...
After 18 years as a boutique on the Church Street Marketplace, you would think we'd have it figured out by now! But as fashion is an ever-evolving industry, so do we strive to change, grow and adapt here at Ecco. And with each New Year comes that urge to define or redefine our business and reach out to more and more of you.  We hope we have become synonymous with designer denim, formal dresses and premium labels, but we hope you know we are so much more! 
We present this blog as a way to keep in touch with our customers and fans, to give you our take on the trends in fashion, and to keep you up to date on all of our doings. So snuggle in with your remote or laptop, cozy up in your faux fur throw and rest up, because it's going to be an exciting year!
